Suwon Starfield, which began construction in 2020 and opened in 2024, is located close to Hwaseo Station in Jangan-gu in Suwon. The size of Starfield is 0.7 times the size of Kyonggi University, a significant fact. As a large-scale complex, Suwon Starfield offers a variety of retail, cultural, and assembly facilities. Among them, the facility that has made headlines is the Star Garden Library. Additionally, Traders, the London Bagel Museum, and Megabox are also located there. Pharos visited Suwon Starfield, which is open 365 days a year.
When you arrive at Suwon Starfield by bus or subway, you will see a large electronic board that stretches high above you as you enter. The 1st floor of Suwon Starfield features a variety of food, entertainment, and attractions, appealing to a large number of visitors. Positioned prominently in front of the electronic board, you will find various pop-up stores, some of which are quite spacious. Additionally, a variety of dessert shops are lined up in the food court, with Chipple, one of Seoul's top three cheesecake restaurants, recently gaining popularity.
On the 2nd floor you can find the London Bagel Museum. When we visited, even though there weren't many people around at that time, there was a long wait. If the London Bagel Museum is on your list of places to visit at Starfield in Suwon, it is recommended to put your name on the waiting list first. There are various clothing brands and kids' zones on the 2nd and 3rd floors, so it's also a good idea to put your name down and explore the 2nd and 3rd floors while waiting.
The 4th floor marks the beginning of the Star Garden Library, which garnered significant attention for its design upon the opening of Suwon Starfield. The library spans from the 4th to the 7th floor. The tiered chairs and soft brown lighting establish an emotional atmosphere. Additionally, the Star Garden Library hosts a variety of lectures, providing visitors with an opportunity to enrich their experience. For more information, please visit the Suwon Starfield website.
Upon entering the fifth floor, you will immediately notice a variety of sports brands on display. Additionally, there is an LP cafe on this floor, offering a unique experience for 18,500 won per person. Here, you can select the LP of your choice, savor music and coffee, and immerse yourself in a retro ambiance. Enjoying LPs at individual turntables can provide a brief escape from the bustling atmosphere of Suwon Starfield. Furthermore, the 5th floor features an arcade game zone named Fun City where you can have a great time with your family and friends.
On the 6th floor, outdoor and living products are showcased. Various outdoor brands are located here, making it the ideal place for individuals preparing for outdoor activities like camping. The Living section offers a wide selection for those looking to decorate their homes with furniture. Additionally, there is a Starbucks where people can relax with a cup of coffee while shopping. Moreover, visitors can enjoy a photo zone within the shopping center on this floor.
The 7th floor is a food lover's paradise. EATOPIA, a food court where you can try a variety of food, is located there. There is a wide range of food choices, including Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Western cuisine. In addition to food, there are also entertainment facilities on the 7th floor, such as Megabox movie theater and SMOB, where you can spend time experiencing activities.
On the 8th floor, you can find Star Garden where you can go up the stairs in the middle of EATOPIA. This area features a pet park divided into spaces for small dogs, medium-sized dogs, and large dogs. These are complex cultural spaces where pets can run around in nature-friendly landscaping.
It takes about 23 minutes to get to Suwon Starfield from the front gate of Kyonggi University. Most famous brands are located near the escalator. Therefore, if you want to look around at name brand shops, it is better to use the escalator rather than the elevator. Additionally, you can check Suwon Starfield’s website to see which events are scheduled to be held.
