Kyonggi University sports teams have a great win-loss record. Not only this year but for the past few years, Kyonggi University sports teams have had a great reputation. However, many students are not interested in university leagues or athletic departments. Therefore, the Pharos will introduce the Kyonggi University Athletic Department, which has helped to create the school’s laudable sports reputation.

 Our volleyball teams won at the Haenam competition last August. Also, they have a good record in the university league. Our judo team also has maintained a good record. The judo team participated in the 2019 Summer National Men’s and Women’s University Judo Federation Competition in Cheongju, and 2 athletes won in the men’s division and athletes got a gold medal and a bronze medal in the women’s division. Kyonggi University also has a table tennis team. The table tennis team won team, individual singles, and individual doubles games in the National City Table Tennis Competition during the last presidential period in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province. The rowing team had a good record at the 61st National Rowing Championships, so a total of 7 athletes were selected to be members of the national team. The Korean wrestling, Ssireum, team is also doing well. They won first, second and third places in the individual competitions at the National Championship in Cylindro, Gangwon Province. The Ssireum team also raised the school’s reputation by ranking first at the group lecel and first, second and third in the individual competitions at the Presidential Committee on Science and Technology Games held in Mungyeong. The sports teams of Kyonggi University have consistently performed well in their respective fields, contributing to the promotion of the school.
