Prior to explaining the benefits of the affiliate programs, we will present the results of a survey the Pharos conducted among students at Kyonggi University to see how much they know about the affiliate program and their benefits. The survey results found that 50% of students regarded the school’s affiliate program benefits favorably while 50% thought they were somewhat beneficial. However, as 100% of respondents claimed to have almost no knowledge of the institutions that have affiliate programs, we can confirm that students don’t have enough information about the benefits. In addition, the survey showed that students rarely utilize the benefits available to them through these programs. To help students take advantage of the affiliate programs, the Pharos will examine some of the programs in detail.

 

 First of all, there is the affiliation benefit of “B&vilt Gangnam Bright World Ophthalmology.” It offers discounts on procedures such as LASIK or Lens Implantation for students, graduates, faculty members and families of Kyonggi University members. When considering making a reservation, be aware that the discount can only be gotten by calling the person’s phone directly at the time you make a booking or ask for a consultation. There are five procedures for which discounts are available: LASIK, LACEK, Smile, Lens Insertion, and Dream Lens, with a discount of 30% to 50%. Also, to find out more detailed information about procedures, such as Smile LASIC and IPCL (Implantable Phakic Contact Lens), call the person in charge.

 Next, there are the affiliation benefits of “Live Dental Hospital.” It offers discounts in various areas, such as on implants and orthodontics, for students and graduates. First of all, implants are offered at about 40% off normal prices and the benefit also includes the cost of CT scanning during treatment. In addition, there are many types of orthodontics that university students can do. For example, there are the metal orthodontic treatment, the transparent orthodontic treatment, and the partial orthodontic treatment, and the discounts range from 38% to 50% for each kind. Information about insurance coverage for treatments such as removing wisdom teeth and scaling can be obtained by contacting the hospital.

 Next, we’ll discuss the affiliation benefits of “Best Internal Medicine” A medical examination can be conducted at the Health Examination Center, which is an affiliated organization specializing in internal medicine for students and graduates. There are the public corporation medical checkup 2030 and the university student medical checkup. First, it should be noted that the public corporation medical checkup can not be done at any time, but only in certain years. However, the university student medical checkup can be applied for by any student at Kyonggi University. Detailed information such as health examination and comprehensive health examination procedures and restrictions can be found through posts uploaded on the In:k Sudent Council Facebook page.

 Which companies provide benefits in areas other than healthcare? First, there is a rented vehicle affiliate program. If you have a domestic trip plan, but you don’t have a car, or need a car urgently, Kyonggi University students can get a discount at GO Rent Car’s north Suwon location. Kyonggi University students can get a 10,000 won discount on midsize, semi-midsize, and compact cars. Also, different from other rental vehicle companies, even if you use a car for a long distance, there is no extra charge; therefore, you can use a rented car without spending a lot of money.  For Kyonggi University students who like watching movies, it is good to visit the Suwon Nammoon MEGABOX, which is located about 30 minutes from the back gate. Present your student ID card at the Nammoon MEGABOX, and you can purchase a movie ticket for 6,000 won, a discount of 4,000 won from the original price. This discount benefit is a helpful way to reduce the price burden of high-priced movie tickets. Also, there are two branches you can go to, the Suwon MEGABOX and the Suwon Nammoon MEGABOX, but only the Suwon Nammoon MEGABOX will give students a discount; so be careful to go to the right one.

 Many university students are interested in certificates about their majors or TOEIC. To prepare for them maybe you have to go to an academy or take an internet class. However, it can be difficult to adjust schedules to accommodate both academy and school classes, and you could feel a price burden. One way to solve these problems is to take a Nexus internet class, as Nexus has an affiliate program with Kyonggi University. Nexus provides classes related to various certificates, languages, and TOEIC, and does so at a low price for 300 Kyonggi University students in each year of their studies. Kyonggi University students can buy a year of classes for 360,000 won, a discount of 360,000 won from the original price. Also, they will give 50% of the TOEIC examination fee.
