There are times when people change more quickly than the seasons. Things we once loved now pass easily, and even the familiar ways of speaking, or the close relationships we once gave our whole heart to begin to change. We keep on changing without having time to distinguish whether it is growth or simply the exhaustion of daily routine.
Change doesn’t always come to us through dramatic events. Even now, we are subtly but surely transforming in this very moment. Like autumn leaves that fall to the ground, we are in the process of letting something go too.
Autumn is a season of visible transition. It prepares us to accept changes and reflect on them. At this point, how about checking in on ourselves? In this world where everything is changing so quickly, just stopping for a moment to see where I am- even that can make this September meaningful enough.
