As spring nears and the weather gets warmer, more people are enjoying outdoor activities, and interest in picnics along the Han River is growing. Today, we’ll suggest a simple picnic route at Han River Park, featuring festivals, facilities, and popular spots.

 The first spot is Seoraeseom Island. Seoraeseom is the largest artificial island in Banpo Hangang Park. In May, it hosts the Canola Flower Festival, where visitors can see bright yellow canola flowers and enjoy scenic river views. It’s a great place to experience the beauty of spring.

 The second spot is Jamsu Bridge. Jamsu Bridge offers a pleasant walkway with cool breezes. In May, it hosts unique events like the Han River Space Out Competition and the Car-Free Jamsu Bridge Festival. These events provide special experiences for visitors looking for something different at the park. You can also enjoy Moonlight Rainbow Fountain at Banpo Bridge. A visit to Banpo Hangang Park isn’t complete without seeing the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain at Banpo Bridge. In the evening, the bridge lights up with a dazzling fountain show, enhancing the night’s atmosphere. The circular plaza in front of Banpo Bridge offers the best view of this show.

 Moreover, various events will be held at Hangang, such as the Jamsu Bridge Walking Festival. During the festival hours there are no cars on the bridge. Instead, the bridge is full of flea markets, food trucks, photo zones, and more. It will be a great experience to feel the vigor of Seoul. Furthermore, the Hangang Seoraeseom Flower Festival will be held. Enjoy the beautiful canola flowers of Seoraeseom.

 The third spot Pharos recommends is the photo spot in Banpo Hangang Park. The park has many scenic spots perfect for photos. Paths lined with reeds and colorful park areas make great backgrounds for memorable pictures with friends or loved ones.

 If you’re heading to Banpo Hangang Park, or on your way back home, it would be great to get a cup of coffee at Cafe Knock Knock. Although it’s a very small cafe with only four tables, you can experience their delicious coffee and desserts. This cafe not only provides unique alcoholic beverages like makgeolli and wine smoothies, but also beverages for pets.

 Dongjak Bridge is a hidden place where you can see beautiful sunsets. It’s about a 30 to 40 minute walk there from Banpo Bridge, but you can get there just in time for the rainbow fountain show at Banpo Bridge, heading back from Dongjak Bridge. While you’re there, be sure to take pictures of the deep orange sunset coming through the bridge, and the subways running on it.

 On a warm and sunny day in May, it would be an unforgettable memory to visit the Han River, see the beautiful scenery and enjoy the many events.
