Let's Drink the Sun! 최보윤 편집국장 2024-03-04 08:35:26

There is an interesting Spanish expression: “tomar el sol.” It can be translated as “drink the sun,” which means to enjoy sunlight during the daytime. I spent a semester in Barcelona as an exchange student and learned that Spanish people love their sunlight. They love to begin their day with a cup of coffee or orange juice on the terrace under the bright sunshine. They believe the sunshine makes them happy, positive, and relaxed.

Life is so chaotic. It never stops flowing until you are dead. Especially in March, when the new semester begins, it is easy to feel tired or dizzy. This is when you need a little sip of the sun. If Spanish people drink the sun, what do you drink? What makes you joyful and content? Some might drink music, and some might drink books. For me, daydreams are one of the best things to drink.

If you don’t have anything in your mind right now, that is fine. Let's take a journey to discover your favorite drink by exploring the world. Pharos, the lighthouse of the press that never goes out, will guide you through the interesting stories from around our campus and this big, big world.
