The main means of public transportation used by students at Kyonggi University are buses and the subway. With the completion of Gwanggyo Station, in particular, many students living in Seoul have begun to use the Sinbundang line as a means of commuting to school. The Sinbundang line currently operates as far as Gwanggyo Station, but a

project will be carried out in the future to extend the Sinbundang line to Gwanggyo Central Station. Local residents are protesting because they fear that the extension of the Sinbundang line will make them uncomfortable and reduce the value of properties near Gwanggyo Station. There are many concerns among local residents and Kyonggi University students about the extension of the Sinbundang line, so the Pharos wanted to know more about this issue.
