Soccer is one of the most popular sports for many students. There is a soccer club among the central clubs, and the presence of many futsal and soccer clubs in the university can make you realize the popularity of soccer. Then let’s find out where you can enjoy soccer and futsal on campus, and what features each place has.

  First, there are two futsal fields in front of the Student Union Building. Superior accessibility is an advantage here. This is because many students are often in front of the Student Union Building coming and going. Seeing students having their lunch at the Student Union Building during lunchtime and playing futsal before afternoon classes or during short public classes shows how accessible the sport is here. The left futsal field has better quality grass, so many people use the left field, and the Pharos also recommends using the left field rather than the right field.

  Another futsal field is located next to Building 3, which is the lecture building of the College of Physical Education. That futsal field is usually used by students in the College of Physical Education and is a place where the soccer department trains. Since the soccer department uses the place to train, it has the highest quality grass in the university. The Pharos recommends it to students who value the quality of the grass. However, it can be a little difficult to get time to use it because it is regularly used by the soccer department and the soccer clubs.

  Finally, there is a soccer field where people can play soccer with more players than is typical of futsal. Other universities’ soccer fields are covered with grass, but our soccer field still has only soil. The quality of the field is very bad because there is no grass. Yet if the soil is managed well, we can play soccer on the field as well on a grass field. However, it is hard to expect that this will be the case because it requires so much effort to do that. Despite these shortcomings, the soccer field is often used by central soccer clubs and sports clubs because it can accommodate many people.

  The futsal fields have a high quality of grass, so most of my university friends are satisfied with them. However, it is inconvenient to play soccer because the soccer field is not covered with grass yet. Fortunately, in his 2020 New Year’s address, the president said he will create an artificial turf soccer field at the urging of the soccer team. The Pharos hopes many of university students will enjoy soccer as soon as possible on the artificial turf soccer field.
