There are so many more unique exhibitions than ever before, so people want to go to more unique exhibitions. Most of them you can enjoy even more by taking photos. For example, there are “I want to be a rich person without job,” “ALICE: Into the Rabbit Hole,” and so on. Among these exhibitions, we would like to introduce “Teseum,” an exhibition you can touch and take a photo with them.

Teseum is the world’s first open experience theme park. In Teseum, you can feel teddy bears and make your own. The teddy bear was created from anecdote by the 26th president of the United States. In 1902, he went hunting, but the hunting wasn’t good that day, so aides caught a little bear and tied up the bear. They said, “Kill this bear.” However, he refused to do it and released it. One of the reporters who went hunting with him inserted an illustration in the Washington Post, and the public called this little bear, Teddy, President Roosevelt’s nickname. One of the people who saw this illustration, Morris Michtom, called his bear doll “Teddy’s bear” because he wanted to increase sales of the bear doll in his toy shop.

Then, how do we create a teddy bear? A teddy bear starts with the imagination of its designers. The designer creates an excellent idea with constant effort and composes the design with a sketch. After designing the teddy bear, the designer selects accessories to match the design. The shape of the teddy bear is made with many parts like puzzles. They need 35 pieces of cloth per doll. Then they finish sewing and connecting each part with doll joints, and next fill it with cotton or some other material. Finally, they attach its eyes and ears, and complete a unique teddy bear.

Let’s look at exhibition together! Teseum consists of five themes. There is the teddy bear’s origin theme, the past and present of Seoul theme, the country theme, the teddy  bear in fairy tales theme, and the aqua and safari theme.

 First, the past and present of Seoul theme is decorated with teddy bears. We can see various teddy bears. For example, a teddy bear cooking in a royal kitchen, a teddy bear moving in a palanquin, a teddy bear treating patients and so on. In this theme area, we feel like we are watching a historical drama. The present of Seoul area is very large and has a wide scope, so it’s an exhibit in miniature. We can see all of Seoul.

In the country theme part, we can see European scenes. We can take pictures in there with a lot of props that are decorated with various European backgrounds. The fairy tale theme is decorated with various fairy tale characters like “Snow White” and “Aladdin.” It’s unusual because all the character are teddy bears, but the background is very realistic.

 Last, the aqua and safari theme area is decorated with various animals, not teddy bears. It’s made to be similar to real life, so you can experience it vividly. In addition, there is an exhibit jeep that makes you feel as though you are in a jungle.

Teseum’s biggest benefit is you can make something. You can make various things. For example, you can make a music box, teddy bear soup, and puzzles. In addition, you can enjoy a mirror maze before leave Teseum. Now, the Pharos will explain how to make a music box. You can make a music box by paying 10,000 won. Basically, you can choose one music box and a teddy bear and get some accessories. If you paying more money, you can get more accessories.
